ZeroWater Replacement Filter 4-pk

Product Info Enjoy great-tasting water with the latest filter technology. The ZeroWater filtration system combines FIVE sophisticated technologies that work together to remove virtually all dissolved solids from your tap water, delivering you great tasting water. ZeroWater's first layer of filtration, activated carbon and oxidation reduction alloy removes the chlorine taste you are accustom to with tap water. The Ion Exchange stage removes virtually all dissolved solids that may be left over from public water systems or even leached into your water from piping such as Aluminum, Lead, Zinc, Nitrate and more. Three additional stages are included to remove other impurities and to ensure your water receives the appropriate amount of treatment time to deliver a "000" reading on your laboratory-grade Total Dissolved Solids meter included. Stage 1: Coarse filter to remove fine particles/sediment. Stage 2: Multi-layer system using activated carbon and oxidation reduction alloy. Stage 3: Distributor that maximizes contact time. Stage 4: Comprehensive ION EXCHANGE array. Stage 5: Non-woven membrane to remove fine particles.

These filters are the best I’ve tried. They make water taste so good! The first time I used one, I noticed a really sour taste after a month and a half or so of everyday use. I read the manual for the water gauge that came with the pitcher and it explained that the filter should be changed as soon as the meter reads 006 or higher. My gauge showed somewhere upwards of 100. Yuck! I follow this rule to the letter every time now and have never had that awful taste in my water again. I also have never experienced that filter leaking issue that others have complained about. I have been an avid user of the Zero Water filters for a year now with no issues since that first one (that was more user error than the fault of the filter).

Bottle water killer! Competition killer.

I’m new to ZeroWater. We’ve loyally used two different brands over the past couple decades. But after the competing dispensers in one of two brands kept growing algae despite us buying new dispensers I bought two brand new ZeroWater dispenser from a local second hand charity store. The store accepts discards and unsold merchandise from big box stores. The ZeroWater cardboard boxes of the dispensers were damaged and the original filters missing. I had no prior knowledge of ZeroWater. But the price was right and the units new. So I ordered a replacement filter from Amazon. When I first tested the water I thought my TDS meter was broken. The meter read 000. Same as before I stuck it in the water. Then I tested my tap water. 238. Gross! That’s when it dawned on me Duh! the ZeroWater filter actually works. I then tested our purchased commercially bottled water. 168. And tested our competing name brand water filter. It read 111 using a brand new filter. No comparison to ZeroWater. Between us we drink more than a gallon of water on many days. Our ZeroWater filter lasted below 006 for four weeks until I damaged it. I left the tap water running while I went to answer a ‘short’ online call. The call unexpectedly lasted an hour. The ZeroWater filter flooded upwards and I ruined the filter. No clue how long the filter would have lasted. We had no odd tastes or smells during the four weeks and never reached anywhere near 006. I ordered my second filter today. Hoping is just as useful as the first and not a fluke. If so this will become our filter of choice from here on out.
